First Pro Bono project goes into production for Glasgow University

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

As an update to our previous post:-

“In January of 2008, Managing Director, Stephen Anderson announced that Kelpie Media would provide Pro Bono Media services for one lucky Voluntary Sector or Academic Client each financial quarter.
The Application Process is simple. Just email your proposal to probono@kelpiemedia.com and at the end of the quarter a project will be chosen, to be completed within the subsequent 3 months.
One thing to keep in mind is whether or not the project is time specific as, for example, if a project is submitted on the 1st day of a new quarter it will not go into production until 3 months later if chosen. A small price to pay for a free webvideo, conference film, CEO interview…..”

We are delighted to announce that the first project is already underway for Glasgow University and the next submission deadline is June 30th 2008 with the next dates every 3 months from then on.

Cutting Edge Software Developed for new Morris and Spottiswood Presentation

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

As one of our favourite clients, Morris and Spottiswood always come to us with innovative ideas (which is why we like them). Kelpie completed this most recent project after over 12 months of development. Morris and Spottiswood needed to improve their presentations given at tender meetings. The old PowerPoint Presentations were looking a little dated. Kelpie produced proprietary software which integrated with existing PowerPoint (end users didn’t need to relearn any software) and designed a new presentation around this new structure. The final presentation incorporated video, sound, animation and traditional slides, all of which were updatable with only a few days notice for forthcoming presentations. We believe we’ve helped Morris and Spottiswood to improve their success rate in tender meetings, but only time will tell so keep an eye on our blog to find out more.

We look forward to working with both Activity Mix and Royal Bank of Scotland again in the near future.

Great New Look to the Website’s Front Page

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

The Designers at Kelpie have been busy making sure that the expression “Cobblers Children” has no place in our office. In order to make the Kelpie Media homepage more engaging and to give an immediate impression to viewers exactly who we are and who we work for a new Flash screen has been added. The Flash video shows logos of some of our clients past and present. We hope you like it.

Don’t forget we can do the same for you. You may be looking for a microsite design to carry some of your webvideo content or some flash animation or video for your existing site, either way we’d be happy to discuss you plans.

Howden CEO shines in Virtual Studio Presentation

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Howden Global is the Parent Company of Howden Power for whom we have produced a number of films all over the world in the past. On this occasion we were requested to produce a very high-specification interview of the CEO, Bob Cleland. There was no time to bring him to the studio, so we shot his interview in front of a Green Screen and built a studio around him. The results were stunning and we can now shoot future interviews anywhere in the world placing in Howden’s custom studio design behind the speaker in no time at all, result in huge cost and time savings.
