Caledonia University consult Kelpie Films for MA International Film Business

Director/ Producer and of course Managing Director, Stephen Anderson was very pleased to be consulted on the development of the Caledonia University MA International Film Business.

As Stephen says “It’s a terrific and worthwhile program which is wholly necessary to allow Scotlands film industry to become a “Film Industry”. We wish them all the best with the course and who knows I may apply myself.”

Unnamed project gets the nod from More4

One of the slate of projects currenly on going within Kelpie Films has had the nod for co funding from More4. Now we need to find a co funder. It’s certainly a lot easier when you have the mighty Channel 4 behind you.

40 Channels goes for $10000 Gucci Tribeca Fund

Always ambitious, sometimes succesful and never underestimated, Kelpie Films Director, Douglas Neilson has gone for gold. Gucci Tribeca provides funding for creative documentaries, so what better project than 40 Channels to go forward to Mr De Niro’s organisation for support. We’ll hear how the approach goes in a months time.

Off to Nebraska we go…

Director Stephen B Anderson is off with DOP Alex Hill to shoot the first part of Kelpie Films‘ documentary on a US Peace Activist in Nebraska this February. The film which is funded by Channel 4 in the UK will continue into full production in the coming months with an anticipated date to air in the US and UK sometime in September 2008.

Kelpie Films has been accepted on to the prestigious Eurodocs Workshop which runs throughout 2008 across Europe, and will allow Douglas Neilson and Stephen Anderson to work closely in developing their latest documentary project under the mentorship of some of the best commisioning editors from Europes top Broadcasters
